Merlin A100, diecast jeep restoration

This page has hierarchy - Parent page: Diecast Restoration

Some time ago I bought a couple of rare Merlin A100 jeeps in a bad way, I didn’t know much about them but did do an article on them a while ago (see article here), I took the worst of the two for restoration, the one on the left in the picture below.

This one also seems to have concrete on it so will be a challenge.

The clean up took a while and used my favourite green for military vehicles , Oxford Green, and added some old Airfix decals I’ve had for years.

The axles are new with original diecast wheels re-painted in the same colour.

Seen here again with the other un-restored example.

For info we have found a Mechanical Horse and trailer that Robert Newson has identified as Merlin.
I work for SAS Auctions and it will be in our Oct Sale.
    Best regards
